These two prints came out of a 52 week drawing challenge I set for myself on my 29th birthday. A year of sketches. The challenge resulted in many bird doodles and lettered quotes—but these were by far the pieces I treasured most. They held a lot of meaning, because they were the creative processing of my heart’s response to Philando Castile being murdered by a police officer (MLK Jr. sketch) and the 2017 Women’s March (Maya sketch). They are available as free downloadable 8.5x11 PDFs (links below).

These are digital downloads. Not for resale, for personal use only (but please feel free to share).

Please enjoy these prints and while doing so, consider the authors of the words shared on them. Physical 8x10 prints are available in my etsy shop, with 50% of MLK Jr. print sales being given to Black Lives Matter and 50% of Maya Angelou print sales being given to the Loveland Foundation.
